More Alberta Shots

Rocky Mountain High

I had a chance to go to Calgary to visit family in early May. I then managed to take a day and a half and head into the mountains with a photography friend. We drove to Banff taking photos the entire way. It was a great time. I am still processing some of the photos but having a ball rediscovering the beauty of the mountains.

Hirtles Beach

went to Hirtle's Beach this weekend with a fellow photography club member. It was a beautiful day.

Play Catch

I am with my animals a LOT. So often they end up in my pictures. Sometimes even on purpose :). I wanted to practice taking action shots so I set my daughter up with some balls, and went down to the other end of the greenbelt. I set the aperture fairly open, put it on burst and then started shooting. I managed to catch some fun expressions.

Spring!

Spring is here. I can't believe how fast it has come. While I know that we are likely to get a cold snap I am enjoying the moment. It is wonderful to find colour

Old and Tattered

I love old things, whether they are in nature or in man-made objects. The changes that happen over time are interesting to me. It is the same as I watch myself age. I have never really wished to be in my 20's again. Rather I enjoy each decade as it comes. Of course, at some point I may change my mind on this!!

Beach Shots

I love going to beaches and seeing what treasures there are. I also take my dogs who love the freedom. Once summer comes it will be harder to take them and have them run free as there will be too many people around. So we will enjoy it while we can. The first picture is almost perfect. It just needs a bit more space in front of Belle. However, with high energy dogs you take what you can get.
