Winter can be cold, dreary and tough to endure. But it has it's own beauty as well. If you live in Canada it's good to appreciate the loveliness of it as well.

Beach Trip
I love going to the beach in Winter. Mostly because there aren't all those pesky people around taking all the good parking spots, getting in the way of shots and requiring me to keep my dogs on leash. Mind you - I am responsible- I do keep them on leash if others are around but I prefer to have them off leash. It's hard to take good photos when a Border Collie is lugging you around. :) If you come to visit Nova Scotia you have to come and visit Green Bay. It's one of the better beaches. That's enough verbiage, I'll let the photos do the talking.
and here are the off-leash dogs running amok:

Stonehurst
I've not been able to take photos lately for a number of reasons: work, life, weather, illness all seemed to conspire to keep my camera in my bag. However, last Sunday was a beautiful springlike day so I went on a trek with a couple friends. Stonehurst is on the edge of the water in Lunenburg County. Up until recently it's been a well kept secret. That makes it magical and each time you turn around there's something new to find. Here are some images from that day
